The Barhain Grand Prix is the first of the 2011 F1 season and it will be home to racing debuts for Campos, Virgin, Lotus and US F1.
Bahrain Grand Prix betting favors the early favorites with Fernando Alonso, Fillipe Massa and Lewis Hamilton expected to go off at short prices. Bahrain Grand Prix Tips
The first ever Grand Prix to be held in Bahrain was back in 2004 and since then the most successful drivers around the Bahrain International Circuit have been Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa who both have two wins each under their belt. Interestingly the 2004 winner was Michael Schumacer so the German’s return to F1 is at a track where he knows what it takes to come top of the podium. It was always going to be tough to give Bahrain Grand Prix tips because it’s the first race of the season and no one really knows what to expect. However you’d have to think that Alonso and Massa both have a great chance of finishing in the top three and you should be able to get a nice each way price on Michael Schumacer. Bahrain Grand Prix Predictions
We’ve taken what we believe to be the top 4 contenders for the Bahrain Grand Prix betting markets and given a betting prediction for each of them below:
Fernando Alonso – Alonso is in a great position to get his 2010 Championship off to a flying start in Bahrain. All pre race reports are suggesting that he’s happy with his car and is kicking out good times every time he hits the race track. He’ll be out to prove that he’s the number 1 driver in the world and the Ferrari F60 looks like it has the legs to carry him all the way. Expect him to go off favorite in the Bahrain Grand Prix betting markets. Our prediction – Alonso to win.
Felipe Massa – This is set to be Massa’s first full season back since his terrible head injury last season and as a result it’s hard to know what to expect from him. He’s going to have some seriously tough competition from Alonso but has won twice before at Bahrain. He’ll be one of the favorites in the betting markets but we’d leave him well alone until we’ve had a good look at a couple of his early season Grand Prix performances.
Lewis Hamilton – Hamilton isn’t having the greatest pre season ever and having parted ways with his Dad and life long manager in the week again it’s hard to know what to expect from Lewis. To be honest we can see Bahrain being a disaster for the young English man but you’ll certainly get a better price on him than you will on Massa or Alonso. Michael Schumacer – The great German is back and no one can wait to see what he’ll deliver at Mercedes this season. Schumacer is publicly not 100% happy with his current car but he has won at Bahrain before so you can’t rule him out. In terms of Bahrain Grand Prix betting you should be able to get a good price on Schumacer so we’ve singled him out as a great each way bet candidate.
